Why the Velvet Frame?

The Velvet Frame is how I see the world—through softness and structure.
A frame captures a moment; velvet gives it warmth, texture, and depth.
Together, they hold beauty gently, without forcing it.

This journal is a space for what I love and notice—
the light falling just right, a corner that feels alive,
a flower placed without intention but perfectly so.

It’s where I’ll share the moments in between—
quiet inspiration, grateful reflections, and simple beauty.
Sometimes it’s a tip, sometimes a mood—
always a trace of what moves me behind the lens.

Starting a blog feels a little daunting.
Do people still read blogs?
Will what I love feel relevant? I don’t know.
But I’m doing this for myself—a space to gather thoughts, images, and ideas that move me.
A digital notebook, lined with light.

This won’t be about one thing.
Some days, it may be a story from a shoot, or a quiet moment I noticed in someone’s home.
Other days, it may be a conversation with a designer I admire,
a book I want to share,
a color I can’t stop thinking about,
or what it means to live with type 1 diabetes and still seek beauty every day.

I don’t know exactly where this journal will lead.
But if you’re here, reading this, perhaps we’ll discover something meaningful together.

Merci d’être là. Thank you for being here.
